Brampton - The first annual Claireville Family Fishing Festival was a hit as over 100 local residents came out to try their luck and skill at the Claireville Reservoir.  The festival was held at Indian Line Campground this past Saturday July 14th from 10am - 12noon.

The catch of the day was brown bullhead, common carp and the occasional crayfish which were all safely released back into the Humber River.  Every family went home a winner with fishing rods donated by the Toronto Sportsman Show.

Thanks to all our volunteers from the Friends of Claireville, the Ministry of Natural Resources Stewardship Ranger crew and Toronto and Region Conservation staff for all their help and support.
