Brampton - A lot of people don't know about fleet discounts or look into the possibility of it for their company, charity or organization, because they don't think they'll qualify. According to Matt Purzycki, Fleet Manager for the Brampton Auto Mall, that isn't true - big or small, you could be eligible.
A fleet sale is defined as the sale of something in multiples, in the Mall, that's vehicles. When you bring your needs to the fleet department, they can often give you a discount for the amount of automobiles you're purchasing.
Purzycki said not to cut yourself short, because you could have the opportunity to save a lot of money.
"Usually ranging from more than one (vehicle), but it always depends on what the company does."
The fleet department offers a variety of incentives and discounts when you choose to be in partnership with them. Purzycki said, one of the benefits is you deal with one person all the time, there's no back and forth between sales associates and managers, and they do their own pricing so there's no confusion.
Some of the ways you can conserve your money are looking into what fleet packages fit your needs as a business, charity or organization, researching the types of vehicles you want to purchase and making sure you can finance them the way you want to.
Purzycki said you can save about $4,000 to $5,000 on certain trucks and $300 to $2,000 on smaller vehicles. This all depends on the make of the automobile and what the company purchasing them does for a living.
"You will get a bigger discount with fleet if you qualify for it, than a retail discount" said Purzycki.
He also mentioned one of the department's biggest challenges is spreading the news of what they do. The department is looking to gain a wider client base, sell more Ford and Nissan vehicles and is hoping to average about 700 automobiles this year.
In the next two to five years, Purzycki said he foresees more Hybrids, alternative fuel vehicles, government discounts and eventually becoming completely electric.
Recently the fleet department sold 12 hybrid vehicles to city for the local parking authority.
"We want to sell cars in multiples, we want to sell in volume, that's our goal…" said Purzycki.
