2006-2007 Writing Project is a co-operative effort between the Dufferin-Peel Separate School Board (Brampton East, Caledon, Dufferin and Malton family of schools) and brampton.com. The project's goal is to encourage students to write about issues that affect our community through various forms of writing (poetry, short stories, essays, etc.). I Am A Book

Brampton
I am a written work of nonfiction,
Bound together within my covers of sophistication,
And not of naiveness.
I can be easily read through my facial expressions,
As if these expressions were written on many sheets of paper.
Each paper is an aspect of my life, my tragedy.
Depraved things occur but then I will learn from these memories.
My experiences, my emotions, my passion, my life,
Written down,
Word for word, phrase by phrase,
Descriptively and swiftly.
I am a book.
This is my life.
