Since 1979, The Brampton Minor Basketball Association (BMBA) has been dedicated to teaching youths ages 7-18 to play and enjoy the game of basketball. From grass-roots development to our elite development representative teams, our goal is to continually establish a program that will provide an atmosphere to challenge all participants, allowing them to develop at their own pace. Each year we place close to 1,300 participants in our winter/summer house and rep team leagues. BMBA emphasizes fair play, respect and community service. Win Gold at Ontario Provincials
"Man... we did it" says Head Coach Mike Morgan of the Brampton Blue Devils Major Atom #2 team as he thanked and applauded the Kids, Coaches, Managers and Parents of both the Durham City Bull Dogs and the Blue Devils after a 17 point Victory at 2007 Ontario Cup Championship in London, ON.
These boys came hungry to win gold and nothing less. They dominated each team in the opening three quarters to take a commanding lead that was impossible to overcome. Jerome Simpson, the teams MVP, showed great leadership each time on the court with his strong defensives skills and his dominate power on the back boards. It should be noted that any time you have a difference maker on the court it gives you a huge advantage over the opponent. Credit should be given to the all the players, the organization, the parents and most importantly the coaches for pushing players to reach this level of greatness and for volunteering their time every week for the past 6 months.
