Brampton, ON April 19, 2007 - Marlene George and Hannah Henry announce their new book, Loving Mother … No Matter What! in time for Mother's Day on May 13, 2007.They will be signing copies of their new book at Chapters – Brampton, 52 Quarry Edge Drive (Market Mall), Brampton, Ontario on Thursday, May 3, 2007 from 7:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

Loving Mother… No Matter What! approaches our relationship with our mothers from a unique perspective. The authors start with thought-provoking questions about possible agreements and intentions between mothers and their children before birth. What if we chose each other on purpose, so as to have an opportunity to experience accepting, allowing and loving each other no matter what happens? Acknowledging the existence of our forgotten agreements and intentions may be the key to improving our relationships with each other.

This book examines issues such as physical, mental and emotional abandonment that children, both male and female, even as adults can continue to have with their mothers. Children of holocaust survivors, chosen children of adoption, children of poverty and privilege, children who have witnessed alcohol and drug abuse, divorce, death and incest candidly share their experiences in over 40 stories and poems that will entertain, enlighten and inspire you. These stories describe challenges, breakthroughs as well as appreciation for mothers.

The authors also provide comments, exercises and visualizations to assist you on your journey of self-discovery, healing and gratitude.

This book suggests that we have choices. Knowing that we can choose the way we respond to whatever happens to us, empowers us. Too often, we make our mother the scapegoat for everything that is wrong in our lives. It is time to put that myth to bed and celebrate the woman who gave us birth. Many of the people who shared their stories miraculously transformed their strained relationships with their mothers even under extremely difficult conditions. You too can transform your relationship with your mother by remembering our agreements to love each other … no matter what!
