Rob Weymouth – resident of Brampton

Rob Weymouth recently won the Hannaford Youth Rising Stars Brass Competition.   Rob attended MayfieldSecondary School in the Regional Arts program.  Now in 1st year at the University of Toronto in the Music Performance program, Rob has excelled.  He is one of the few first year students to be placed in the University Symphony Orchestra and also plays in the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra.  He plays the solo Eb cornet in the Hannaford Youth Band.  Rob played last year in both the Jazz Mechanics and the Brampton Concert Band.  He has won several awards for his trumpet playing to date including the 2006 Ontario Music Festival Championship in Grade 10 Brass and continues to impress audiences.  He hopes one day to play in a major city's symphony orchestra and join the Hannaford Street Silver Band.   During the summer, he provides trumpet, guitar and piano lessons to students.
