Brampton - Old-fashioned service, combined with techno-savvy client tools, make Daniel and Tamara Rutman's Brampton law firm, Rutman and Rutman, a unique combo here in Brampton.

In 4 short years, they have grown their small Brampton law firm into a multi-faceted practice encompassing several specialties of law. Started in 2003, Dan and Tamara were joined at their heritage home office on Queen Street in 2004 by a business law specialist, a family law specialist, a wills, estate and power of attorney lawyer, an employment and immigration lawyer and a criminal law/civil litigation specialist. Including Tamara, a litigation lawyer and Daniel himself who does Real Estate law, you have a fully rounded, full service Brampton law practice. Twelve support staff, essential to the running of the firm, complete the group Dan and Tamara consider family.

But this is a law office with a difference. Actually, with lots of differences.

Dan's whole philosophy is built on serving his clients. Dan's the business brains behind the firm and he well knows the importance of customer service for all their clients. He's a huge believer in great service providing repeat business and many of his clients reflect his commitment with their continuing business. Tamara adds her proficiency as an academic and outstanding litigator to well represent clients needing her expertise.

The firm also strongly believes in giving great value to their clients and so they always bill by the task and not by the hour, resulting in substantial savings for their clients. This unique, totally different and totally accessible firm is committed to Dan and Tamara's priority on putting each client first. Their personal touches make every client feel valued.

This caring attitude is also extended to all staff members. All support staff and lawyers are able to work flex hours, giving them time to devote to their personal lives. Tamara and Dan's 3 children play an important part of their lives and they both feel that everyone in their law family should have the opportunity to prioritize their personal lives too.

At the top of the list of differences about this firm is the fact that they make house calls! Yes, house calls! Dan and his staff appreciate that many clients are unable to make the trip to the Rutman office, especially those needing a will, power of attorney, or the many facets of real estate law. 'We want to do whatever it takes to put our clients first', says Dan. 'And that includes offering in-home meetings, even after hours, if that's what works for our clients. We want our clients to know how easy dealing with a lawyer can be. This is the best way I know to show them our dedication.'

Techno-savvy client tools include a DVD/book combination titled 'Closing Made Easy: Buying, Selling & Mortgaging' which is available at Chapters Bovaird location as well as directly from the office. This hands-on tool is a great help to people who are looking for information about selling their homes and its technology that's up to the moment. Helping future clients help themselves is a priority for Rutman and Rutman.

Another up to the moment subject is Title Fraud. Dan has spoken to many local associations to help their members be aware of how to protect themselves against this increasingly common offense. His advice offers protection on this very hot topic so people will know how to protect themselves from losing their homes. The escalation of this appalling crime highlights the need for Rutman's willingness to share protection information.

What's next for Dan and Tamara? 'We continue to become more involved in community affairs – we're honoured to be on the Board of Directors of Peel Big Brothers Big Sisters, and to sponsor their activities. And we also count The Lung Association as one of our causes by offering their members free wills and power of attorneys.'

'Because we're a family firm, because we believe in old-fashioned values, because we are a part of this great City of Brampton, we plan to keep improving our product, our service, and our commitment to our clients and to our city.'
