As active supporters of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel, Tamara sits on the Women of Peel Luncheon Committee and was the MC at the 2006 Luncheon, which raised over $37,000!
Dan is active on the Street Hockey in Canada Committee and the Gala Committee. Last year, as Presenting Sponsor of the Street Hockey Day in Canada Tournament, Rutman and Rutman was instrumental in raising over $15,000 for BBBS Peel. Rutman and Rutman also made a special offer to all supporters of BBBS Peel who made a $50 donation – free services to seniors for Wills, Powers of Attorney and Living Wills.
But Dan and Tamara's generosity doesn't stop there!
Dan has spoken to the venerable Business and Professional Women of Canada, Brampton Chapter. His topic was 'Surviving after Divorce'. 'I feel that it's important to support women as they travel through a crisis – be it divorce or the loss of a spouse. BPW provided a perfect venue for this support'.
Rutman's is an active sponsor of kids sports in Brampton – Dan and Tamara sponsor The Brampton Braves, Brampton Battalion, Brampton Cadettes and three house league teams of soccer, baseball and hockey.. 'Kids are an important resource in any community and we want to give Brampton kids all the support they deserve', says Daniel.
The Lung Association also enjoys Rutman's support with their Will Campaign, again offering free Wills, Powers of Attorney and Living Wills for Seniors.
The Brampton Guardian People's Choice Award as 'Best Law Firm' is a significant milestone showing both professional ability and community dedication. Rutman and Rutman were voted the Best Law Firm in 2006 over a group including 6 other worthy nominees.
