Description = We are a national, community-based organization of volunteers, whose mission is the eradication of cancer and the enhancement of the quality of life of people living with cancer.
Title = Residential Door to Door Canvasser
Job description = This April, spend three hours canvassing door to door on your street or in your community. You will be helping us fight cancer by funding life-saving cancer research and vital community-based support services. It's just three hours for you, but a lifetime to a cancer survivor.
Skills = Fight cancer one door at a time, while getting to know your neighbours by canvassing in your community on an assigned route in the month of April. Your time commitment is 3-4 hours. Your major responsibilities are to canvass on a street in your neighbourhood, collect donations and issue receipts. When you are finished, return the funds and receipt books to your team captain or local Society office.
Skills to learn = Volunteering with the Canadian Cancer Society is a great opportunity to make a difference in someone's life, be part of a team, share your experience, learn new skills and develop lasting friendships.
