Saturn supplies 16 GTA florists with VUE Green Line hybrid vehicles
TORONTO, Feb. 13 /CNW/ - Sixteen GTA florists will be driving green while delivering their greens this Valentine's Day. Several GTA florists are delivering their flowers in a fuel-efficient, green-minded vehicle, the Saturn VUE Green Line hybrid.
The VUE Green Line hybrid delivers up to 20 per cent improvement in fuel efficiency, depending on driving conditions, and a reduction in emissions; savings that participating florists greatly appreciate on their busiest day of the year. To celebrate and promote the VUE Green Line's efficiency, florists will be offering various 20 per cent bonuses to their customers, including 20 per cent more flowers or 20 per cent off their next order.
"Valentine's Day is our busiest day of the year," says Brenda Lee Privitera, Managing Partner, Capri Flowers & Gifts. "Using the fuel-efficient Saturn VUE Green Line to deliver our flowers across the GTA will enable us to reduce our costs while helping the environment, and we are pleased to pass these savings on to our customers."
This Valentine's Day, the GTA will be breathing a little easier. In just one day, the 16 florists are expected to save an estimated 371 litres of fuel - by substituting 19 delivery vehicles with the Saturn VUE Green Lines.
"The Saturn VUE Green Line and its increased fuel efficiency make it the perfect vehicle for city driving," says Mike Speranzini, director, Saturn Canada. "Because the engine shuts off when the vehicle stops and then restarts when the brake is released, the VUE Green Line is ideal to be driving on such a busy day for florists around the city."
The 3 participating Brampton florists are Fendley Florists, Floral Designs by Marilyn and Vanderburgh Flowers & Gifts.
