The Brampton News honours members of the Brampton community who deserve recognition for their academic excellence, sportsmanship, noteworthy leadership or genuine caring and citizenship. Lindsay Macedo - resident of Brampton

Lindsay was an honour roll student who received numerous academic and athletic awards at St. Marguerite d'Youville Secondary School, while being an active member of the Student Council, Yearbook and school bands. In her graduating year, she was both Vice President of the Student Council and Chief Editor of the Yearbook. Lindsay volunteered for four years with the Brampton Speed Skating club as a coach assisting beginner skaters. Lindsay is enrolled in the International Studies and Modern Languages Programme at University of Ottawa.  Lindsay is a 2006 Canadian Federation of University Women Scholarship Winner in the City of Brampton.
