Brampton - Visual Arts Brampton recently handed out its Youth Acheivement Awards to the top students in its kids classes.
Each year, the group lets its students submit their best artwork, to be judged by a panel of professional artists and graphic designers from Visual Arts Brampton. The group of then establishes what level each student will receive, with their age taken into account.
Gold medal winners were Michelle Alonso, Makini Calliste-Wollard, Katherine Caspersz, Gunreet Kaur Gill, Kavya Kaluarachchi, Rajveer Ubhi, Elina Lex, Priya Mistry, Alex Rodway, Victoria Seo, Andrea Wang, and Ananda Zhu.
Winning silver was Aleksandra Ciurzynska, Krista Castelo, Navjit Dulai, Alessia Ianni-Palarchio, Melissa Johns, Anisha Kumar, Emeline Lex, Tristan Mac, Robert Pinchin, Padjama Ranganadhan, Sriram Ranganadhan, Danielle Toner, Vidya Vinnakota, Geoffrey Webster, and Nathalie Zonta.
Akilah Calliste-Woollard, Anita Campanelli, Osheen Chibber, Christina Christidis, Harveen Dulai, Andrea Fernandes, Connor Frid, Jude Hakim, Cerise Hewling, Emily Ing, Tanya Mahbubani, Natalie Stembo, Camilia Sumintra Sukul, Divya Vinnakota all won bronze medallions for their creativity.
Nathaniel Belle, Casey Elogio, Mariah Palmer, and Dimithri Silva all received honourable mentions.
