Bramalea Lions Club

Bramalea Lions Club was chartered in 1962, the club became a major player in community events almost from inception. Youth activities and sporting events (hockey, baseball, soccer, etc.) remain one of the clubs active roles. Through the Health and Welfare Committee and the Education Committee, assistance has been provided to groups and individuals over the years. As times change, our focus on various activities change to match, and nothing reflects this more than in the recent years where we became a sponsor for the Air Canada Dreams Take Flight program. Brampton - Bramalea Lions Club would like to thank all the sponsors and patrons who participated in this year's 'Dreams Take Flight' casino and auction night. Four children will be traveling to Disney World, Florida next year thanks to you!

Brampton - Bramalea Lions Club has been contributing to Dreams Take Flight for 12 years. For anyone unfamiliar with Dreams Take Flight, it is a trip of a lifetime for physically, mentally or socially challenged children. The destination - Disney World, Florida. Air Canada donates the aircraft and the employees and contributors do the rest.

The adventure is funded through fundraising efforts. Each year the Bramalea Lions Club hosts a charity casino and auction as their main fundraising event. This year's event took place on Saturday, November 4, 2006. We had a very successful event and raised ample funds to allow us to send four children to Disney World, Florida next year.

We would like to take this time to thank all of the generous sponsors who donated a product or service for our auction. Without your support and donations we could not have had such a successful event.

Approximately 100 people attended this year's event, many of whom were repeat patrons. We would like to thank each and every one of you for your help and support this year.

Thank once again to all sponsors and patrons alike, you have helped to put a smile on the faces next year's children that we send to Disney World, Florida. It is a memory that they will have forever as you can see from the letter below from a past participant.
