Amidst the festivities and joy that surround the holiday season, there is also a sense of melancholy and despair for so many of us who have faced the loss of a loved one. At a time when family and friends are so important, it is difficult not to dwell on our grief.

It is important to know that there is somewhere you can go and someone you can talk to. Beneficial Living & Wellness is about helping people move beyond the pain and suffering and move forward in their lives, becoming more fully available to themselves and others.  It's about dealing with grief and loss in a positive way.

"Loss is a normal part of life," said Melissa Axler, a grief recovery specialist and counsellor with Beneficial Living & Wellness. "But coping with it is the challenging part."

The services offered by Beneficial Living & Wellness are designed to help you and your family face loss in a healthy manner. The ten-week Outreach Support Group will teach you new habits in grief management.  If you prefer a one-on-one setting, individual counselling services are available for both adults and children.

Loss doesn't always result from death, when parents separate it is a difficult time for the entire family. The new family mediation services are designed to offer couples an opportunity to think about solutions that best suit their family's needs and help everyone cope with this very difficult transition time.

There are a variety of other services available. For more information please call 905-467-0418 or visit the website at www.beneficialliving.com
