Title = Fundraising/Special Events Assistant

Job Description = The Fundraising/Special Events Assistant is a volunteer that serves as direct contact for Chairs of special events. He/she liases for the Chapter Executives and Members of fundraising events. This individual represents the Chapter during regular chapter meetings, functions, and at after –hour events when needed.

Skills =
·  Excellent verbal and written skills in English
·  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
·  Demonstrated ability to successfully handle multiple priorities
·  Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
·  Good problem solving skills, good sense of humour and ability to handle the unexpected
·  Strong ability to work within a team to accomplish departmental goals
·  Demonstrated customer-service orientation in dealing with event attendees, donors and sponsors
·  Computer skills (MS Office, Word, Excel)
·  Ability to work flexible hours with an occasional weekend or evening
·  Awareness and sensitivity to diversity, as it relates to all aspects of the agency's operation, are expected of the incumbent
·  Familiarity with the region of Peel/Halton is a definite asset.
